Job Opportunity – Residential Project in Saratoga California

September 21, 2014 in Job Opportunities by Patricia Jennex

The UCLA Landscape Architecture Program Office was contacted by a California Landscape Architect who is looking for a landscape designer to assist in a high end residential project in Saratoga California. One year of training can be obtained under a licensed architect, Ms. Tasdighi. Applicant may not need to be located in Saratoga.

Anyone interested in the position can contact Stephanie Landregan, the Program Director, at 310.825.9414

The following is a description of what Ms. Tasdighi is looking for:
“Attached are a couple of images for the project in Saratoga which is currently under construction. It’s a very modern & minimalist home & I’m looking for a talented landscape designer with similar design approach, to assist me in developing the existing landscape/hardscape concept design, but more in depth & introducing new & fresh ideas with a clear understanding of plant material, landscape/hardscape ideas.  This can be a very interesting and valuable project for anyone involved because of its scale & the extent of elements it needs to provide: pool, cabana, spa, large driveway, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, sitting & dining areas, reflecting pools, stone walls, fruit orchard, etc…
The project is located in an exclusive neighborhood in Saratoga, CA, in the booming Silicon Valley that hosts a significant number of dot com wealthy people with very limited access to good design. This project could, not only enhance a young landscape designer’s portfolio, it will potentially be a stepping stone towards landing more significant projects in that area.”
