Position 1- Landscape Architect or Designer & Project Manager

The position requires a highly self-motivated individual who would like to contribute his/her talents as a landscape designer to a creative and energetic team. Duties include but are not limited to all aspects and phases of the landscape design/build process from site planning through construction.

Duties include:
• Develop landscape plans from conceptual through preliminary through final, including demolition, grading, drainage, hardscape, irrigation, planting, lighting and construction detail plans
• Project management: prepare timelines, critical path, materials schedules, etc.
• Field work:
o Site analysis – measure, map, photograph, sketch site features, etc.
o Materials sourcing – locate materials, photograph, collect samples, etc.
o Construction oversight – site visits, meetings with clients, subcontractors, clients’ agents, etc.
• Interface with local agencies: planners, review boards, HOA’s, inspectors, etc.
• Interface with other professionals such as architect, engineer, land surveyor, etc.
• Work with GDA crew and subcontractors from bid process through completion of project
• Research:
o Local codes, agency requirements, etc. for GDA projects
o Source project materials, vendors, subcontractors, allied professionals, etc.
• General administrative support for CEO – phone calls, filing, emailing, calendar management and organization etc.

Skills include:
• Strong hand graphics
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks
• Strong design skills
• In-depth knowledge of regional plant materials
• Proficient at site mapping, preparing site plans from field measurements
• Project management: timelines, critical path, materials trafficking, scheduling
• Excellent organizational skills
• Communicates professionally and effectively
• Strong leadership skills
• Team player a must
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
• Self-motivated, upbeat, forward-thinking, professional, eager to learn, coachable, trainable, and possesses a “can-do attitude”
• Spanish a plus
• Accurate and complete construction documents
• Works well in a progressive, creative, fast- paced environment
• Knowledge of typical construction practices
• Driven with the ability to meet deadlines with a positive attitude

Position 2- Assistant Designer & Administrative Assistant

The position is for a full-time landscape design and administrative assistant and requires a highly self-motivated individual who would like to contribute his/her talents as a landscape designer to a creative and energetic team. Duties include but are not limited to all aspects and phases of the landscape design/build process from site planning through construction. This individual will work closely with the Principal designer and design team. The ideal candidate has strong computer, organizational and communication skills.

Duties include:
• Landscape design and drafting
• Materials sourcing and trafficking
• Fieldwork
• Social media coordination, marketing, bi-weekly blog, writing text, and developing reports etc.
• General administrative support for CEO
• File, email, calendar, and client management
• Managing office organization
• Database maintenance and updates
• General errands & personal support for CEO as needed

Requirements include:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong professional verbal and writing skills
• General administrative support
• Minimum 2 years work experience in the landscape profession
